33 | The Peach | From Jesus to James and the Giant Peach

"The Peach" and Jesus have much in common, from numerology to their worldwide recognition.  Let us quickly examine the numerology connections of the word 'peach' and 'Jesus'.
  • Fruit = 6+18+21+9+20 = 74
  • Jesus = 10+5+19+21+19 = 74
  • Cross = 3+18+15+19+19 = 74
As most of who have read the Bible know, Jesus was crucified at the age of 33, after performing 33 miracles.  These are only two of countless examples of the number 33 in the Bible, from Genesis to Michael.  The word Peach, also happens to have 33 numerology.
  • Peach = 16+5+1+3+8 = 33
  • Genesis = 7+5+5+5+1+9+1 = 33
  • Michael = 4+9+3+8+1+5+3 = 33
Georgia, the 4th State, with '44 numerology', is also known as the "Peach State".
  • Georgia = 7+5+6+9+7+9+1 = 44
  • Georgia Peach = 44+33 = 77
  • The 77th Meridian, the "American Meridian", runs through Georgia

History Of The Peach

  • The peach originated in China and has been cultivated at least since 1000 B.C.E. It has special significance in Chinese culture: The peach tree is considered to be the tree of life and peaches are symbols of immortality and unity. Peach blossoms are carried by Chinese brides.
  • Peaches traveled west via the silk roads to Persia, earning them the botanical name Prunus persica. In Persia, peaches were discovered by Alexander the Great, who mentions half a dozen types, and who introduced them to the Greeks.
  • By 322 B.C.E. Greece enjoyed the peach, and by 50 to 20 B.C.E., Romans grew and sold them for the modern equivalent of $4.50. The Romans called the peach a Persian apple, and the name for peach in numerous languages is the name for Persia.* Once the Romans cultivated the fruit, they were able to transport it north and west to other countries of their European empire.
*Pêche (French), Pfirsich (German), pesca (Italian), melocotón (Spanish), pêssego (Portuguese), fersken (Danish/Norwegian), persika (Swedish), persikka (Finnish), persik (Russian), brzoskwinia (Polish), breskva (Serbo-Croat), piersica (Romanian), praskova (Bulgarian), robakinon (Greek), seftali (Turkish), afarseq (Hebrew), khúkh (Arabic), hulu (Persian), arú (Hindi), tao (Chinese), momo (Japanese), persik (Indonesian).
  • Spaniards brought peaches to South America and the French introduced them to Louisiana. The English took them to their Jamestown and Massachusetts colonies. Columbus brought peach trees to America on his second and third voyages.
  • To this day China remains the largest world producer of peaches, with Italy second. Italy is the main exporter of peaches in the European Union; the regions of Campania and Emilia Romagna account for more than 50% of Italy’s annual production. California produces more than 50% of the peaches in the United States (and grows 175 different varieties). So many peaches are grown in Georgia that it became known as the Peach State.
  • True wild peaches are only found in China. Unlike the cultivated fruit, the wild fruit is small, sour and very fuzzy.
Pretty interesting history, especially from a numerology perspective.  Without paying the year 322 B.C. its due, let's examine the following.
  • The peach tree is considered to be the tree of life and the symbol of immortality and unity.
  • Massachusetts [Massachusetts = 4+1+1+1+1+3+8+3+1+5+2+2+1 = 33]
  • Christopher Columbus [CC = 33, Columbus Day in October, October = 6+3+2+6+2+5+9 = 33]
  • Campania  [Campania = 3+1+4+7+1+5+9+1 = 31]
  • 31 to 33 are the ranging degrees of Freemasonry
  • Emilia Romagna
    • Emilia = 5+4+9+3+9+1 = 31
    • Romagna = 9+6+4+1+7+5+1 = 33
Isn't it all so very interesting?  When I think of a peach, I think of juicy, delicious perfection, especially on a warm summer day.  I also think of the Book James and the Giant Peach and the Princess from Mario, who is named Princess Peach.

The plot of the book James and the Giant Peach has much in common with Freemasonry, just as the peach does above from its growing in the town of Emilia Romagna, Italy.  Let us examine.  Here is an excerpt from the plot, courtesy of Wikipedia-
A boy named James Henry Trotter, 4 years old, lives with his loving parents in a pretty and bright cottage by the sea in the south of England. James's world is turned upside down when, while on a shopping trip in London, his mother and father are eaten up by an escaped rhinoceros (despite rhinoceroses being herbivorous). James is forced to live with his two cruel aunts, Spiker and Sponge, who live in a run-down house on a high, desolate hill near the white cliffs of Dover. For three years Spiker and Sponge verbally and physically abuse James, not allowing him to venture beyond the hill or play with other children. Around the house James is treated as a drudge, beaten for hardly any reason, improperly fed, and forced to sleep on bare floorboards in the attic.

The abusive aunts have name numerology that represent the ranging degrees of Freemasonry.
  • Spiker = 1+7+9+2+5+9 = 33
  • Sponge = 1+7+6+5+7+5 = 31
The age of 4 is also curious, as 4 is the master foundational number.  The name James also have 'Illuminati' numerology.
  • Illuminati = 9+3+3+3+4+9+5+1+2+9 = 48
  • James = 10+1+13+5+19 = 48
